A little bit of ‘Battisti’….

Mt Martha village is one of a kind, a small coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula that has managed to avoid the big chain retail outlets maintaining that cozy, wholesome feel.
Via Battisti is a relatively new café style deli serving up suburb coffee, yummy treats, hot breakys and a range of lunch items waiting to be tucked into.
A friend and I met there one Saturday for a catch up in the sun whilst I was minding my two busy nephews. We sat out the front on the sidewalk so we could enjoy the day…and people watch! We ordered a couple of coffees and a flourless orange cake to share as well as two cute little bubbachinos for the kids, keeping them amused and feeling a part of the scene.
Inside the atmosphere created a European vibe, with interesting wall art and foodie features on display… As I ordered our coffees I found myself transfixed by the large range of enticing goodies on offer in the front counter… dangerous for a anyone with a sweet tooth!
Whilst I didn’t have a proper look on the meals menu, I did notice people on surrounding tables feasting on a Saturday bacon and egg cook up with a coffee and paper in hand.
With a hole in the wall (handy if you are on the go), plenty of seating and scrumptious food on offer – next time you are looking for a coffee hit or perhaps a weekend feed then give Via Battisti a try!
