Luscious Lottie…

There is a new fashion label about the hit the streets and is the love child of Mornington Peninsula local gal, Lottie Hall.

This fresh label is surf inspired with a high end twist.. tough yet sleek…badass but beautiful. Produced in luxe fabrics these pieces have been created by Lottie’s personal taste of surf punk culture and art, beauty, bohemia and the bygone era in a contemporary directional style that aims to be effortless and wearable.

This unique style takes classic pieces and effortlessly twists and pushes the boundaries of design, creating highly coveted pieces unlike any other style on the fashion market…

After knowing Lottie for all of this talented chicks 25 years and learning that her latest ‘look book’ was shot on the back beaches of Sorrento and Rye, I thought it was oh-so appropriate to get the low down on some of her favourites on the Mornington Peninsula….

Lovely Lottie! Thanks for joining us…. tell me, what is your connection to the Mornington Peninsula?

I’m a Sorrento girl through and through, I grew up there as a young kid to late primary school, living near Sorrento back beach hanging out with yours truly….weekends at the aquarium….playing at the park our parents helped build…using the rock pools on the back beach like they were cubby houses. After moving back to Melbourne our grandparents kept a gorgeous holiday house so there was always a great excuse to keep revisiting my childhood stomping ground!

What do you love most about the Mornington Peninsula?

I love that you’re surrounded by water, I love standing on the cliffs/sand dunes on the back beach looking out to the ocean and if you turn around you can see the bay… There are also plenty of happy childhood memories.

Where do you get your best coffee on the Mornington Peninsula?

Hmmm tough call…… I usually get my coffee from Stringers in Sorrento, but the most impressive coffees are in Dromana- Two Buoys and Dee’s Kitchen.

Do you have a favourite winery/wine from the Mornington Peninsula?

For wineries T’Gallant is an all time favourite but for wine I would have to say I do enjoy a small  locally growing Main Ridge drop know as “Pinot Partners”

Vino, Olives… & Horses!

I recently saddled up on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a few of my closest girlfriends for some lazy vinos with a difference.

We headed down to the Red Hill Horseback Winery Tours opting for the three hour ride which included two different winery stop offs along the way.  We were each paired with a horse according to our riding ability, with mine definitely in his old age as he happily clip clopped along… (I was not complaining!)
